The Magnetism of Art

C Mawle

It seems that quite often when a person directs their undivided attention onto something that they love, a curious thing happens. The only way I can describe it is that they create some sort of magnetic field around it.

This is what happened recently at an outdoor art festival. A  woman visited my booth and fell in love with “Ancient Moon Watcher”. She decided to wander through the festival then come back.  About 20 minutes later another person did pretty much the same exact thing.  The THIRD person came along and purchased it straight away.  No hesitation. The first person came back for it but it was gone, then 15 mins later the second person had made their decision as well but by this time the painting was well on it’s way to the ferry terminal.

I guess hesitation is not always a good idea especially when there is only one of a kind.

The lesson for me?  Paint more trees, people love them!
