This painting began with the help of random people at the 2024 TD Art on the Avenue in Victoria.  It took on a life of its own in the studio and even though most of the begining was covered over, the story emerged as: 
"The life of a water elevator is lonely even though there are plenty of people who wave as their boats are lifted or lowered into their journeys."
